Most religious rituals are weird to me and I'm a former Catholic (school, Mass every a.m....the whole shebang).Religious dogma and fundamentalism drive me battier, though. Rituals are quite comforting to some, though, i know.. OK...snake-handling is the weirdest.

The Tibetan buddhist tradition of Sky Burial. That's where they cut the dead person up into little chunks and leave the chunks out for the buzzards.

Circumcision is pretty nasty, and it looks like Egyptians cut off a woman's clitoris as a ritual, since they outlawed it. Both are pretty stupid.

Some tribes in South America will cremate their dead and then mix the ashes with milk or something in a skull and then drink it.

eating the flesh and drinking the blood of christ. i mean, come on, i thought cannibalism was bad?
my hubby says when he was little in christian school, they gave him grape juice and crackers. he just thought it was snack time and always wondered why he only got one cracker. lol.
