Of course, take her and get her spayed. Frankly, even if she isn't pregnant you should do that, but now, definitely. Then, you don't even have to worry about if she is pregnant or not.
As to the rest of your question, your baby is fine. Just don't let it touch the litter box and there is nothing to worry about (I don't mean to sound flippant - I am serious).
Ask the vet when you take kitty in for spaying. She might need to a wormer or shots/tests.
And, no, a cat having kittens is beautiful, a miracle. Not gross. But, don't let her have them. If you are thinking about her having a kitten for a friend, there are millions of unwanted kittens you can choose from. And pregnancy/birth isn't the safest thing to let her go through for no good reason. Especially if she is young.
Also, a flea collar is not the best thing for her. The best thing you can get is called Frontline for Cats. It is a small amount of liquid that you put on the back of her neck. It will take care of fleas and their larvae and eggs and also ticks, mosquitoes and lice (yuck!). It works so much better than anything else and it is safe for Miss Kitty, which the collar is not. If it is too pricey (about $50 for 3 months worth) try the same type of flea medication from Hartz - not as good, but better than the collar.
OK? Good luck.

If you aren't able to properly care for a pregnant cat and or kittens, you are still able to get her spayed at most vets. They will probably charge a little more, but it will be better than having a batch of kitties to find homes for and care for until they are placed. The fact that you already had her scheduled for next week is good. The earlier on, the better. Just go in like normal, and tell them when you drop your little girl off that she is in heat, and they will take care of the rest and let you know if there will be any extra charge! Good luck! Hope I was some help! (ps, cats have a gestation period of about 63 days, no its not gross when they have kittens, they usually do it in a private place and do everything themselves. and yes, she is most likely pregnant.)

The same thing happened to me years ago. My cat was going crazy. She jumped out a window to meet her needs. Two weeks later she comes home. A few weeks after that I notice she's getting bigger. You could see the little ones moving around inside her. I used to put my head on her belly and talk to them lol. I fed her kitten chow through-out her pregnancy and all of her kittens were perfect. And no...it wasn't "gross" at all. It was just birth. I guess I don't look at it that way. I got her spayed as soon as she'd weaned her little ones, the rest got adopted except for a male kitten whom I kept and he's neutered. They are 8 and 10 now.

You can still have her spayed next week, it will be nearly impossible to tell if she is pregnant or not that early. I'd worry more about her catching a disease from the cat she bred with.

If you don't want the kittens, they will still spay your cat. It might be a little more expensive to do, but it is better to get it taken care of now, than to try to find homes for kittens.

Hi don't panic just take her in for her appointment next week and let them know that your not sure if she did indeed get pregnant or not they itill chich her our for you and let you know if you so choose to know. As for your cat catching something it's unlikely I would just get her some glea stuff or a flea collar and she should be ok. Best of luck to you.

well, thats exactly what happened to my dog, she got out and the next couple weeks we found out she was pregnant, we weren't prepared at all, and we didnt have time to raise them but we did, and its kinda gross, but you get over it, and if the cat has real instincts, she will do most of the gross work for you.but believe me, its worth it!!! I kept one of the puppies and she was the best pet ever!!! so dont give up hope!!!!

You can take her to the vet and have the embryos aborted. They arent even considered embryos yet actually, just a couple of cells that are dividing. You need to do it now before she gets too far into the pregnancy.
