It's very similar to Catholic churches.

GO and have fun - meet people - and just observe. I have no idea what the service will be like, but I would bet money someone will help you through the service.
The largest "gay" church denomination is the Metropolitan Community Church. They are a good organization and are usually pretty amazing places of worship.
Have a blast!

I have gay friends that faithfully go to a gay church. They seem to enjoy it very much.
If only I could convince them of the joys of being atheist.. sigh.

OK, here's the deal. Let's say that Mr. Johnson has a rule that at his house, you must take your shoes off before you go inside. Mr. Johnson is a very popular guy, everyone loves him, and everyone wants to be his friend, so lots of people hang out at Mr. Johnson'e house. Some of them have a problem keeping track of their socks, or maybe they have a real foot odor problem, so they really don't want to take their shoes off. Of course, t hey could learn to keep better track of their socks, or learn to bathe regularly and use foot powder...but they don't want to put that much effort into it. But they really want to be a part of Mr. Johnson's crowd.
So, instead of following Mr. Johnson's rule, they build another house, and they call it Mr. Johnson's house. "We have built another house," they say, "and here, we don't take off our shoes. Here, we don't worry about keeping track of our socks, or keeping our feet clean." But still, they call it Mr. Johnson's house.
So, tell me, are they Mr. Johnson's friends?

You will get a bunch of lies and false teachings. The truth of the Bible will not be taught there.
