GE and RCA TV sets are the same....go to your local KMART or Walmart and look for a RCA UNIVERSAL remote control.....

While you may have to program it, you may also NOT HAVE to program it too....

But if you have to program it, ALL of the TV's capabilities will work since it was designed to operate it's own brands.

That's why you don't intermix universal remotes if you can avoid it. You use a Sony for a Sony, an RCA for an RCA or GE and a Zenith with a Zenith....

But I have found the ZENITH/LG remotes to be the MOST UNIVERSAL remotes around, they access controls/adjustments BETTER than the other brands.

You can opt to buy a universal which will operate the basic functions, or you can buy the original General Electric remote. The link I gave below is a GE distributor and will sell direct to the consumer. You will need the model # of the set which is on the back cover. Beware, original remotes are usually not inexpensive. If you would rather speak to someone in customer service, the phone # for Tritronics is: 1-800-638-3328. Good luck, hope this helps.

just get a universal remote but when you are choosing make sue it does all or most of your equipment. Most universals do control the General Electric (GE) brand of TVs, DVDs and VHS players. My kids kept losing the remote so I put a piece of adhesive velcro on it and stuck the other side to my table, they also have remote holders that you have to screw down though if that is an option.

I have some codes to enter into a universal remote to run a GE ( General Electric) TV. First, the 3-digit ones : 000, 008, 009, 011, 012, 027, 038, 068, 086, 089, 091. Now the 4-digit ones : 0047, 0051, 0451,
0178, 0021, 0055, 0135, 0282, 0747, 1147, 1347.
Try these one at a time until you hopefully find the right one.

Thats a general electric brand, if you look behind your tv there should be a giant sticker with details of your tv, including the model type. So just go to the general electric web site, then look for tvs, search for your model tv and they will give a list of compatible remotes, it's really easy! Hey can I have ten points please?
