I met a girl in a bar, and we hit it off pretty well. We were discussing some Internet stuff, including Myspace, and she gave me her email address. I didn't ask for the phone # (and she didn't offer it yet). What are peoples' thoughts on interest from a girl by getting the email address? Is this the 21st century version of getting the phone #?

Yeah its a good sign! You should e-mail her to show your intrested then maybe she'll give you her phone number. Oh and its kinda good you didn't ask 4 her number YET!!! I hope it works out!

The only way you will know if its a good sign is if you Email her and then she responds.
When I say respond , I mean, give you her phone number or something more personal than just an Email address.
THis is my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong but i really dont know if an Email address is a good sign . It all depends.

Right on guy,,,you're the man. The e-mail is the next best thing to the phone#. I personally think it's more convenient for a women to give her e-mail out instead of her #. Perhaps because of her availability/ time. Just remember the word,"convenient". That was a hit and run,,,good luck to first base,,,

Well - I had a friend who's married (notice I sad HAD a friend) and whenever we would go out she would give a guys her email address. That way he didnt have her phone number and wouldn't get caught by her husband. Sad - so I would be careful.

When I met my fiance, I gave him my e-mail address. That was 5 years ago (we're still together and have a 3 yo son). I'd say it's a good sign.

email from a girl means, she can be a safe enough distance that she can talk to you and not feel obligated. email is nt a personable and she can type you replys at her leasure and most of all if she doesn't like you then she knows you don;t have her number and she can clock you form email if she likes. but it great she gave it to you. means she does want to speak to you. good luck and keep the good conversation going

hard one..... maybe. But the email could be a diversion from the phone number.
You should just ask her out to dinner or something-- put a stop to the guessing game!

I don't know...it's a lot easier for a girl to give out an email adress i suppose....cause it isn't as important as her phone #....i feel she does want you to email you...she just isnt ready to trust you i guess....email her or something...maybe she wants to build up the relationship before meeting again?
