ok first off, reading the title I know most of you are thinking im a idiot. But I have heard stories of stars getting famous within a few months of moving to LA. I know this is not typical, but I believe I have something special. I know that sounds lame, but my whole life everyone laughs at me. I mean people just laugh at me when I walk by them alot of times, ive never met anyone that I havent made laugh when we first talked. Theres just something very odd about me, im maybe goofy looking or something....I just have a really dumb look to me. I use to hate it because its not good for the girls, but I figure I would use my curse so to speak. So im moving to LA in a week and going to casting calls, do you guys think you can get a "big break" from a casting call, I know the odds are low but it could happen right?

You'll find out pretty quickly that just about everyone here is somewhere harboring dreams of being discovered. Everyone here is either a writer, an actor, a director or a combination of the three. Don't pack your bags on a whim. If you believe you really do have something, try giving it a shot on a local level. Get a routine together and try one of those amateur nights at a local club. Hone your act. Get an agent. If you are good enough, Hollywood will eventually come calling.

It is possible. If you have it, you have it; I take you are a comedian or want to do something like that? If not, think about it, Jamie Foxx, Eddy Murphy, Adam Sandler, Dane Cook (rising extremely fast) all do stand-up. The reason why you have a better chance is because there are more places to get discovered, they have Open Mic at the Improve, Laugh Factory every week, sign up and let your charm show. If you want acting, get an agent do everything you can and hope the luck rolls your way. Even though you might have "it" it's still very competative in show business. But, if it's going to happen, it's going to happen here in L.A. Good luck, You can do it. You only live once, and unlike what someone else wrote, DO quit your day job; you're young and if you don't try you'll never know. Do you know how many people probably laughed at Tom Cruise or other top Actors. **** they told Cindy Crawford, she needed to cut that hideous mole off her face, or she'd never make it. Be yourself, don't fall into the "norm" of L.A and let your true self shine. Okay that's my motivation speech for the day. good luck again.

Don't quit your day job. Try 90% persperation 10% inspiration. It could happen with better odds that you know a lot about the business you are trying to get into. If you don't then who's going to get the work done for you?

NO such thing as an overnight sensation.

If you look at each case, you will see that each person worked HARD for a long time to achieve what they did.

(Brittany Spears didn't get famous overnight... certainly not from the "Got Milk" ads... she was a Mouseketeer, forcryingoutloud. Sheesh.)

Good luck with your "talent". Who knows what God is hiding for you...maybe after all, you may become a famous comedian (and therefore a celebrity). My advice would be to take benefit of what you're unique in; unless of course it is something unlawful. Also I would advise you to snatch the chance once it comes to you, and don't let it go.

Good luck with your project.

Maybe if you start a weird religious cult and commit group suicide, then you'll be famous. Be sure it involves aliens.
