I get this question a lot, there are relaxation exercises (and a number of other methods) on my blog so I don't have to retype them all the time.
It's on www.myspace.com/thedavezone
You should really research similar questions - it doesn't cost you points that way.

Melatonin supplements work extremely well. The benefit of these is that they are natural and won't leave you feeling groggy in the a.m. at all. I keep a bottle by my bed, and I generally get drowsy within 10-15 minutes after taking 1 to 2 pills. Sweet Dreams!

I don't see what one has to do with another (the mental cousin and you wanting to "sleep fast") but I think you're asking for ways to help you fall asleep faster. Drink some warm milk and take a warm bath before bed. Reading always puts me to sleep, and for some reason the better the book is, the faster I fall asleep.
Hope this helps you.

nope sorry, sleep comes when it comes and not before. You can prepare for sleep by maintaining quiet time thirty minutes before bed, no tv, no stimulation, a good time to meditate in fact. You can promote sleep by drinking a glass of warm milk in that thirty minute quiet time, and you should go to bed at the same time every night, that way the body becomes accustomed to moving into a rest cycle. So make a plan, and tell your cousin to leave you alone for your thirty minutes, that isn't so much to ask.

Well, no one knows the perfect trick. But usually I just close my eyes, and promise myself that I'm not going to open my eyes then I eventually fall asleep. Sometimes I just sing in my head a couple songs until I get tired. I dont know what will work for you because well I don't know you. Hopefully these ideas might help.

Try picking out random people, and play out a story in your head. Don't try to point the story in any certain direction, or else you'll stay awake forever. Let the story play out in your head on it's own. If you do that, I think you'll be asleep within half an hour, or less.

There is an herbal supplement you can take called Melatonin...You might want to try it; I found that it helps me get to sleep quicker and feel more refreshed in the morning.
Also I recommend stretching before going to bed...especially your legs...The relaxation effect afterward will help you fall asleep and avoid "restless leg syndrome."

HI...focus on your respiration. Practice deep breath. Stop thinking while you try to sleep. Zero problems at that moment. Good Luck.
