Why is anyone faced with violence when they don't convert? Christians cause this violence too.

I dont know why they did it but I have to say that what they did was wrong. Because in the Quran it says:

Let there be no compulsion in religion (2:256)

So a Muslim cannot force anyone to convert. I, a Muslim, am giving u this weapon. If anyone wants to FORCIBLY convert u to Islam, u have to tell about this verse.

Because u c, in places like Pakistan, Palestine, Iraq etc etc. a lot of political influence is also to be gained by such acts. It is dissapointing, for Islam does not teach that. If one looks ISlam as a whole, it is quiet beautiful.

n it does have free speech too. But u should remember, free speech does not mean u hurt other's feelings as the westerners are prone to do. I M sorry. I meant no offence. But westerners often hurt the feeling of other communties in the name of free speech. Islam is more than sensitive about this though.
So y can't it survive in the 21st century?

If u have any questions regarding Islam, y don't u mail me and perhaps, we can clear our concepts.

p.s.I M not trying to convert anyone. But I do believe it is better i we understand each other we are to live in peace n harmony.

I've done a lot of posting against the actions of Islam, but haven't been spammed or threatened. My family escaped Islam in the 1950s. There is a lot of beauty and strength in Islam, but until they embrace freedom of speech and freedom of religion, they will not be ready to enter the 21st century with us.

I am sad such things happen and glad people speak up about them.

Keep speaking up. Islam in it's present form cannot survive free speech.

Because if a Muslim does not confront non-Muslims with violence then, according to the tenets given to them by their Prophet Muhammad,...
they are not being good Muslims...

>"Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." (Koran: Surah 5:51)

>"Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." (Koran: Surah 9:27-)

>"Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them." (Koran: Surah 9:121-)

>"Muhammad is God's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another." (Koran: Surah 48:29)

Yes,... there are Muslims who will dance around these verses by claiming that they were misunderstood, misinterpreted, or taken out of context...
..and that, too, is a directive from the prophet Muhammad:

---Koran 17:46-47---
>"And we put coverings over their hearts and minds, LEST THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE KORAN, and we put deafness in their ears; when you commemorate your Lord (Allah) and Him alone in the Koran."
...[CAP letters were used for emphasis]...

...there is MUCH more where that came from but, - seriously,... does anyone really NEED more than that?

Jesus said you will know men by their fruits. Obviously, followers of Islam follow their father. And he is a liar and a murderer from the beginning. Is it surprising that his followers are the same way?
