People are becoming more and more sinful. More people are commiting adultry. People are having mulitiple sex parteners and sex at a young age. All societies are more corrupt. Corruption is at its highest point. More crimes are commited daily, and now adays it seems that everyone is gay. Abortion is the new means of birth control, and no matter how you look at it, in the bible it is considered murder. This are just some of the reasons as to why heaven may be a thing of the past. Please tell me your opinion on the subject, all is welcomed.

Heaven is the future for those who qualify. But is anyone truelly worthy of God's place?

For the record, sins have been around forever, but unlike today, during older times, such as biblical times, there were less people comitting these sins.

Yes.

We gain heaven by the grace of God and not by any merit of our own. (Thank God!)

I believe that people really are no more sinful today than in the past.

Different sins may be more in vogue and more in view but I don't think people today are all that different than people of the past.

However one big difference from history is the acceptance (and implied approval) of sinful activity.

But in the end, have no fear, God is in control. The battle is already won.

I also believe there are many very virtuous people around that do not make it onto the six o'clock news. Look around, they are all around you living quiet saintly lives.

With love in Christ.

No one is worthy to go to Heaven, but we can strive to be. That is the purpose of this life. But I can see your point. The world is quickly becoming more and more wicked. Sins that would have been punishable by death in biblical times are now common place occurences happening all the time. Don't categorize the entire world with this though. I try to tell the truth, I have only stolen once (a sucker once when I was three), I have never done drugs, drank alcohol, had sex (I don't plan to until marriage), I am extremely against abortion, homosexuality (not the people just the act of it), and I feel terrible when I hurt peoples' feelings. Don't lose hope, there are people in the world trying to do what's right. :)

This is a good question and one I think about from time to time. When I was a teenager it was considered shameful to have sex before marriage. And almost no one lived together unless they were married. Abortion was a word we didn't hear very often. And someone who "slept around" was considered nasty. Soceity's acceptance of these things has changed but according to the Bible, people who do these things won't be welcome in Heaven. Being Wiccan, I don't believe in the same sort of afterlife that my Christian family and friends do - I do believe I will pay for the wrongs I have done, either in this life or the next . My grandmother used to tell me that when we get to heaven, we will see people that we NEVER thought would be there and that there would be people missing from heaven that we felt sure would make it. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Heaven is timeless, past, present, and future. I believe in reincarnation. There haven't been any new souls created since the very beginning. We chose to come here to learn. The earth is where we can learn the fastest. Our goal is to learn what we need to know to join into God again, because when we separated we fell out of grace. I agree the world is a mess. I think it always has been, but worldwide communication hasn't been possible until now.
We are loved by a Creator that loves us more than we can comprehend. Who we are today is not just what we think we are. We have had as many lives as we have chosen, and done both good and bad. We will never understand again until we are in spirit again.
Whatever we do in this life, we will learn from, and become better ppl. God understands, and God sure knows how to kick me in the @ss when I'm over the top!

Blessed Be

If you believe what the Bible says, all a person needs to do to get to heaven is believe that Jesus lived in the flesh, died for sinners, and rose again three days later. If you believe that, you can go to heaven. The Bible says the heart is desperately wicked, and people are enticed by many things that cause them to sin. However, it seems with this overarching *genuine* belief in Christ, one can get to heaven.
As for heaven being a thing of the past, people were just as wicked back in Biblical times. Nothing that happens in 2007 is new. And even if you don't believe in what the Bible says, you can look at historical accounts of how people were sinful and corrupt. But, I think you would have to look to the Bible if you wanted to know how to get to heaven.

the bible says that the world would get this way before the end and thats just how it's getting we are seeing prophecy unfold before our eyes. but no, heaven is not a thing of the past...as long as there is one child of God left , they will make it...all you have to do is call on the name of the lord Jesus Christ and you will make it to heaven, God keeps his promises. that is something you can always count on. at one time the world was worse than it is now, if thats possible to imagine, and yet God saved the only family that was left on the face of the earth from destruction. just as he will now there will always be someone left that believes, and God wont forget about them. heaven is eternal, it will always be there...but more and more are going to miss out on it if they don't straighten up and change their way of thinking when it comes to their saviour.

Everyone has a chance to go to heaven, because Christ Jesus our Saviour died for ALL..And He calls ALL to repentance..Amen Amen

but the sad thing is and costly as well

ALL WILL NOT OBEY THAT CALL

MOST WILL NOT.

Jesus Christ paid the sin debt of man, our ticket to heaven has been Paid in FULL..

PAID IN FULL BY THE SAVIOUR

Who will make it into heaven?

Jesus said , Ye MUST be BORN AGAIN to enter into the Kingdom of God..John3:3

What must I do to be saved?

Jesus Christ preached, Repent ye and Believe the Gospel..Mark 1:15

Why Must I Repent?

I tell you nay except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish....Luke 5

What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is this

That Christ Jesus died for our sins, was buried and arose the third day according to the scriptures..11 Cor.15

In His Service

The KJV Bible says that men will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. It says that men will do right in their own eyes and not what the Bible teaches. The Bible is being fulfilled right before our very eyes. Read II Timothy 3:13. Prophecy is being fulfilled over in the Middle East and I will just be honest with you-we could be home with our Savior before sunrise in the morning! I hope you have made preparations to be there.

Actually, the adultery thing was more accepted back then than it is now. Abraham had a wife and at least one concubine. That is how he had two sons.
many men had more than one woman back then and it was considered normal. only in more recent times was it considered "abnormal" for a man to have many women.

and then as for the sex at younger ages, my grandmother was a mother at 15. she was also married. girls got married at a younger age then than they do now.
we are too protective of our children. we refuse to let them be as God intended. they have all the same emotions and urges that a woman has, sexual or otherwise, but hey are taught that they are hildren and so they act accordingly. they are only venting. I am not condoning the behaviors, only observing.
there are many more complications now than in the earlier days, that much is true. our idea of purity is MUCH different than that of our great grandparents, or even Abraham and Sarah. (of the Bible)

Do your analysis again based on a population ratio of then and now. Just think, back then everybody sat around making up stuff about the judgements of angry gods just to stop some of it. But then, I guess they do a lot of that today also. Oh well...........
