like all of my guy friends are obsessed with video games and they talk about it all the time and its so annoying. How do you get them to change the subject? It just makes me want to scream.

They will stop talking about video games in a few years when all they talk about is girls and cars, then they will mention college a few times, maybe discuss possible careers, then they will talk about beer, then they will spend the rest of their lives talking about how much their wives drive them crazy until they retire, at which time they will talk about nothing but golf and the weather and politics and their declining health. All you can do is try to get them to hurry up and talk about girls as soon as possible so they will turn their attention on you. However, this attention will also be divided among all other girls since guys are unable to focus.

You need to accept your friends for who they are and even play video games with him. If you want some guy friends to talk to you will need to search out some additional friends who don't like video games. Not all guys are obsessed with video games

Why the heck are you stereotyping and putting all guys into the idiot category the guys you pick are in? Not all guys are obsessed with video games. If you don't like it, pick different guys. You're the problem, not them.

games are a fun way to bond! just like board games when your parents grew up. you should try a couple video games. there are lots of different kinds of videogames..... some have great stories and adventure and puzzles. and there are some cool music games.
not all games are aboutshooting and sports and and killing and male-testosterone stuff.
tell a guy you like to try a game with you.

video games are cool that is why they talk about them all the time...but if you really want them to shut up, change the subject to something you both like, or just walk away and ignore them whenever they start...its really slow...but if they arent too stupid they should get the hint sooner or later

Because video games are awesome.
Maybe you should get them to let you try out the games they play, you might find you actually like em.
And don't ask them to change the subject, because then they'll talk about it just to annoy you :P

well ya see video games is very popular among people but mostly boys. ya see when sombody gets a game and plays it for a while they get obsessed and they want to play the game for hours and hours to see what event or problem is going to take place on the game they playing ..... for example if i get a spiderman game and i play it for a while i would easily get addicted because i am going to want to see what is goin to happen in the game .......................................you cant really get sombody to change the topic when there taklking about video games

good luck with that !!! you might want to find some girl friends to talk to because it is going to be hard to get them off their video game subject unless you talk about sex (and surely you dont want to be a little tease like that)
