It depends on your destination. For example, in the Caribbean the peak season is the winter since many tourists tend to get away from the cold. In Barbados the season is from December 15-April 15. The rates are very expensive to compare the summer but since our main festival is in the summer you might find that the rates are slightly raised but not as much as in winter. On the other hand the hoteliers might drop the rates to encourage locals. You also have to look at see if there is any festival on at the time because that would push up the rates.
