What reason does he give for wanting you to fake being healthy when you're not? You already know the answer to your question. He obviously doesn't have your best interests at heart. Is he pushing for an early workers comp settlement because he wants your money now? Sounds like he only wants what's in it for him. You can tell him that if you settle and then incur additional medical costs, they will come out of your pocket because insurance won't pay them once you've settled. As others have already said, most importantly, you run the risk of re-injury which could make things much worse for you. I suggest you see a counselor--take him if he'll go but at least go by yourself--to explore why you want to stay with someone who seems so self-centered that it's detrimental to your health and welfare.

I don't see the connection with weddings and workmans comp, but in answer to your question, do not fake it. Workmans comp is there to help you when you are injured on the job. You pay for that when you pay taxes. To lie about it and to get caught in the lie only makes it more difficult when you really need it. And.... if you're not really healed, you could do yourself more harm than good by going back to work before you are really ready.

No he doesn't. Faking being better is not the way to go. If you go back to work claiming to be better, you will be required to fulfill those duties. If that includes lifting, you are more likely to permanently injury yourself--or at least injure yourself worse than you are now. That will be a greater cost. It is not in your best interests and if he doesn't understand that, you are right. He doesn't care.

Wrong category, but what the hey....

Honey, this is the man who SUPPOSEDLY loves you telling you to go subject yourself to being reinjured for his own selfish reasons.
