He says it like nobody has known and that its a wonderful fact that people will need to know. He says it like he is the only one thats feel that way about himself.

It is not normal behaviour. It is true we need to love ourselves in order to have high selfesteem. That means we take good care of our wellbeing, instead of being selfdestructive, self-love means setting goals for ourselves, taking care of our mental and physical health, etc.

By the sound of it, he is trying to build his selfesteem which is probably very low. When you really love yourself, you dont need to go on telling the whole world

If one really loves himself, he should seek to be connected to God. Jesus died on the Cross to save us from condemnation, and qualifying us to Heaven. Just come to Him with genuine repentance and faith, and he will find peace, hope and meaning for his life. This life is short and uncertain; Heaven is wonderful beyond descriptions and forever without end. If anyone wants to read a testimony about Heave, email me: TMHO@EARTHLINK.NET. Best wishes!

He is probably trying to be funny. But if he is serious, i would say he has low self esteem and is looking for acceptance. =)

He's in trouble.

He is trying to force his himself to be different, when what he needs to do is move his center and forgive himself.

Tell him that talk is cheap, and action is everything. When he does everything because he likes himself, then and only then will he be cured.

depends on how he says it, tone of voice. could be he's self absorbed/bragging. could also be he's trying to build his self-esteem/self-confidence.
