Well, how correct you are! Well, I remember the sacrifice the Achaeans did to Apollo after god decided and stopped punishing them! Odysseus with 30 men got to the island of Chryssis and sacrificed 50 lamps and goats. All were for the gods, but since they have only Ambrosia and Nectar, the 30 men had to grill the large pieces of meat and the smell (tsikna) was going to the gods, who enjoyed it and the men had to eat the meat, for the gods, of course! Since the food was too much, they were having black strong wine, so they continued. But even so, they could not eat that much! But they should proceed with the sacrifice and had to finish it all, otherwise the sacrifice wouldn't count. Thus, they started dancing and drinking and after some hours they managed to finish the sacrifice!
Thus for the free thinkers, the Greeks, this is a sacrifice! And they enjoy it a lot and we continue similarly!
All the best to all, drinking or not, eating meat or not! All, thinking and not thinking!
Of course the thinking people will understand those the others think it's a tale!
In a couple of hours with family and friends we'll enjoy some dark red Cretan wine with Ionian meze and food, please, come!

I thought Zeus drank ambrosia,Hydromel or ouzo. Never heard of Greek gods drinking beer...especially Bavarian beer??? Try the Ouzo...I'm on antibiotics and cannot drink right now...

Nope. I enjoyed pizza on this Friday evening. My sister is home with her brand new Charger (I'm so excited for her!) for the weekend (she's in a summer program for college freshman....i remember those days.....lol). She's out with her boyfriend for a little while this evening, but I did spend time with her earlier, and will get to tommorow and Sunday as well.
