I'm sure most of us pray repeatedly throughout the day, but do you have a certain favorite time, that you really enjoy and look forward to praying? I do. My time is very early in the morning, just after waking up but before I open my eyes and get up. If you haven't tried praying in the first waking moments of the day, I recommend it very highly. It really makes the whole day go WAY better! What are some other times that you've found prayer especially rewarding?
Blessings to you!

I completely agree with you. My favorite time is when I first wake up. It is when the house is still quiet. No one else is awake. No one else is up with a TV on or a radio on. I don't hear the footsteps of the people above me. It's just me and God. I can go and lift him up and praise and uplift his wonderful name. I can go and be quiet and meditate upon him. I learned to do this with my father. I woke early one morning to find my dad outside drinking a cup of coffee. I asked him what he was doing, and he told me that he was listening. I looked around and smiled. I told him there as nothing to listen to. He smiled at me and said, "What? Don't you listen to God?" It was an amazing realization in my young life. I still hold to that fact. I listen to God in the morning and my day goes much better.

I agree that the best time to pray is in the Morning as you wake up. This really makes your whole day right for you. Finding time to pray during the day seems impossible due to the working schedules, and even we cannot promise to keep the evenings free due to other social appointments.

Prayer means a meeting and seeking with God in a personal way. Hence, your meeting should be a top priority and avoid meeting God just because you have nothing else to do. Its quite in order praying over an urgent situation anytime during the day because God is availabe anytime and everytime. God has an excellent Time Management system, so you better follow his way.

As a Lay Dominican I must pray the Holy office which consist of the following prayers:
Morning prayer (at dawn, first thing in the morning)
Daily Mass (usually in the morning at 8:30)
Office of readings (anytime of the day)
The Rosary (I usually do it at 5:00)
Evening Prayer (at sundown)
Compline (night prayer) at bnedtime.

These prayers consist of three psalms with a responsory, a short reading (except the ofice of radings that has two full readings), canticles and intercesions. After I am done with the office I remain in prayer for a little while in contemplation and in act of adoration to my God.
I keep him always in my mind in everything I do and once a week at least I go and visit him in His sanctuary at the tabernacle.

My favorite taime to pray for me is right after communion, where Jesus is in me and i am in Him, is the sweetest and most fulfilling of moments to unite with my Savior.

God bless you and all here.

And pray ok, never falter, always pray. ( I have to pray the office, but this doesn't substitute heart-felt prayer to God, without which the office would be a dead carcass: it's soul is the full atention and devotion of a heart totally turned towards God. So this last kind of prayer must be essential and foremost, practice it)

Early in the morning when the sun is about to come up, and all the while the stars are taken the sky over with there twink lings.

All the prayers that I do help me get through the morning, afternoon, day, evening, night, and in the midnight hours.
That is all the reward I need in my life from God Almighty.

Blessings to you as well.

I pray through out the day, but I love to pray and end the day in prayer with my husband before we go to sleep. It a special time shared together.

I too love to pray when I first get up. I find I have the most energy and can pray the best then and like you said, it just makes your whole day go better.

My best time to commune with God is the morning. When my body wakes up, I give Him thanks, even before my knees or feet hit the floor. Once my feet hit the floor, I'm off and running, but I do enjoy a few minutes of solitude after everyone has been fed, lunches packed and I have a few minutes to sit by the creek and brush my dog and talk to God.
God is pretty tired of listening to me, because I have nothing new to report, but I do love to Give Him thanks.
I also like a quit time at night with my family. It's not working well now, with teens off and running.........jobs , but when they were younger, we did have a family worship together every night. It's not happening now, but the last words out of our mouths, whether running out the door to work, going to bed, or on the phone........I Love you
I think that's also what God says...........I Love You.

I love to pray when i'm in the middle of the night, and it is so quiet and dark, and everyone is sleeping. I close my door, open the window, look at the moon and stars and just quietly talk to God.

Hard to say when it's my favorite time cuz of my busy schedule. I just find it rewarding to incorporate Him in everything I think, say and do on a day to day basis. Sometimes it's at 2am, other times its at 5pm or 6am. It depends whenever the spirit leads me to hang out with God.
