By not ridiculing each other for believing differently, that would be called tolerance, which is severaly lacking in this particular section of YA, and remembering that we're all stuck here together, so might as well make the most of it.

I believe that the 1st place to start is to make people aware that there thoughts, all thoughts are the same as prayer. Even Jesus said that if you have thought it so have you done. pal ,
That will never happen . By our very nature and what we are taught is that we must influence those around us to follow our beliefs . The question should be is " how do we put aside all our hate to make it better " Most people have a bad idea that it is our right to force our religion down the throat of others because we have " GOD " on our side . If they don't we'll exterminate them because they are sinners , or in this day and age , shun them . That is hate and ignorance using love as a veil of deception . If we can get passed that . We are destined for glory

I have to agree with the first answer. All religions are in opposition to each other. Christianity and Islam both agree that the world will not get better at all but steadily decline. As a Christian we are taught that since this life on earth is temporary are most important task is to get people into the right relationship with GOD to save there eternal life. Making things better here is simply wa tool to get to the more important issue of ones eternal destiny.
That being said I do fel that there is plenty of secular organizations that help out quality of life for many people. These places are great way to meet people of other faiths and work along side them to better life for others while leaving a discusion of religion out of it.

--THE WORLD & its corrupt systems is totally in Satan's hands , thus it is condemned:
(1 John 5:19-20) “. . .We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one. 20. . .”
--Doing what we can to be kind & following laws that are indeed for the benefit for humanity is truly a must, BUT this world is ripe for Armageddon!
--(Psalm 92:7) “. . .When the wicked ones sprout as the vegetation And all the practicers of what is hurtful blossom forth, It is that they may be annihilated forever. ”

--AS FOR THE YOUNGER generation in which many hoped would make a difference this is what we have, especially in attitude:
(Proverbs 30:12-14) “. . .There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes but that has not been washed from its own excrement. 13 There is a generation whose eyes have become O how lofty! and whose beaming eyes are lifted up. 14 There is a generation whose teeth are swords and whose jawbones are slaughtering knives, to eat up the afflicted ones off the earth and the poor ones from among mankind.”

--WOULD IT not be better to put our hope on Christ's promise "...thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..."

I had this idea, instead of the UN, the UR (united religions) where each church(with like a minimum of 10 million people) send representatives from their church.

Then when major issues come along like religious fighting, the UR could have a meeting and decide what and what not to do.

Like each religion would have 5 reps. From the mormons who only have 12 million, to the Catholics and Muslims who have over a billion each. Everything is equal....

Second -- introduce yourself to your neighbors

next -- find a way you can help each household on your street (yard work, paining, etc.)

next -- become involved with local politics and schools

next -- become informed about issues and politicians and vote

lastly -- find something else to do to help your neighbors or just have a BBQ. (keep the music down)

We must all understand that everyone is just people after all. We need to care about each other as humans.

Whatever our differences, we have to share the planet, and consider the long-term effects of our choices and actions.
