Hamas has made their position very clear about Israel can never be recognised and must be destroyed completely by any means necessary. Fatah "seems" a little more refined which is one reason they are dangerous because they are more subtle and diplomatic in their terrorism. Who is worse, the enemy that openly declares themselves as one or the enemy that will shake your hand and kiss your cheek? Why?

krollo....the problem is that Hamas is the elected government and Fatah is not moderate. The perception that they are moderate is a smoke and mirrors media production. The Al-Aska martyrs brigade is a militant Fatah faction that is responsible for every suicide bombing in Israel for the past two years. The negotiation table is for the media and the Martyrs Brigade for the agenda. Frankly, I would rather see Hamas be in charge so there can be military retaliation against a sanctioned government rather than a bunch of ragtag terrorists running around that could be anybody.

krollo....one more thing.......Fatah wants to stay in power but couldn't last a week against Hamas.Again, Fatah is not the desired government of the Palestinians. It is an illegal obligarchy that has siezed opportunity. Neither Fatah or Hamas has an airforce, navy or tank division. Israel does and could retake Gaza in less than 12 hours and completely destroy the Hamas infrastructure within 24. Of coarse Fatah is going to want to be chummy with Israel because "an enemy of an enemy is a friend" and Isreal can be the bad guy for killing Hamas but what happens after the common enemy is destroyed? Fatah trying to make it Israel and Jordan's problem is a pollitical and media move, not a reason to automatically support Fatah. Let's not forget, we are talking about the political party of Yassir Arafat and Barghouti.

I know your not gonna like my ans. but here goes ....
Hamas is the democratically elected Govt. of the Palestinians ! Fatah is just a bunch of mercinaries fully funded by U.S. and Israel through the Syrians. We do support terrorism,as long as they're our terrorists ! Pretty cool huh !?
So if you're rooting for our terrorists ...then Fatah are your buddies ! Oh yeah....Lebanon isn't fooled for a minute,...they're gonna exterminate Fatah in Lebanon !

Better the devil you know than the one you don't.

Fatah is trying to shake the terrorism dust off its shoes and normalize into a political rather than military institution.

Hamas is a pure, brute force, nazified terrorist organization that scares the begeezies out of Fatah and most moderates in the middle east.

The fact that Fatah is talking an alliance between it, Israel and Jordan to crush Hamas tells you how much more dangerous they are compared to Fatah.

Eventually, I think the moderates will have to win out. If you look at things from a wider perspective, Israel has no problems living in peace with Egypt or Jordan, so why wouldn't it live peacefully with Fatah running the show in the Palestinian territories.

It seems pretty clear to me that in the bigger picture, Hamas is much more dangerous.

But who's worse? I don't know. Its too early to tell at this stage.

I am guessing the group being funded by Iran is the one you want crushed, don't you think?

It is difficult to say which is truly better, because they have the same basic ideology, and end goal. The difference I would go with, which makes Fatah better, is that Hamas prefers to use terrorism to try and achieve their goals, while Fatah attempts to utilize political non-violent means.

Neither is worse, because they come from the same cloth. Hamas simply follows a religious path, while Fatah has a secular view in mind.

The logical fallacy is that Fatah, being more secular, is more open to reason concerning Israel's right to exist.

But then again, you really need to ask yourself -if you and your family were evicted from your homes for a group of people that hadn't lived their for over 1000 years and were relocated by the Romans- wouldn't you be pissed off and ultimately seek to reclaim what you feel was taken from you for an offense you didn't commit?

For starters Hamas replaced into no longer democratically elected seeing that a 17 November can no longer sign in as a political social gathering in a real DEMOCRACY. So shall we only say they have been elected in an Arabic variety quasi-Parliamentary canine and pony practice government. Secondly. enable them to kill one yet another. it rather is far extra affordable way of driving the Earth of terrorists than risking the lives of freedom loving human beings everywhere. lastly, my religious background could tell me to assist Israel even in spite of the incontrovertible fact that the inhabitants of Israel are at the instant no longer genetically Semitic and with the exception of 10% of all Jews are no longer genuine Hebrews with the exception of their faith and the genuine "Israel" as interior the dominion of God is not any longer the purview of the Jews. Addendum: in case you observed South Park you're able to understand that the Mormons are the recent "Israel", inheritors of the dominion of God.
