My heart aches for you .It is never easy to end a relationship especially one in which there are still feelings involved. Which begs the question:why did you end this relationship when it is obvious that you're still in love with this person.I will advise you to explore the possibility of rekindling this "flame" if there is any chance you can do it.However,if you are certain that nothing can be done to relight the fire, then try to avoid the places you shared while dating,if possible.Don't become a recluse either but go out with other friends. Avoid the trap and risk of a rebound relationship by dating too soon. When you can think of your ex without pain, regrets ,remorse, bitterness, and/or the desire for revenge ,then you will know you are over her and ready to resume a romantic life.

if you are over him/her, it shouldn't be hard.
if you still like him, it'll take a while, and you just need time alone to think about things.
