I had to recently un-install Microsoft Outlook (with all it came with ) on my computer. When I tried to find the disk to re-install it, I couldn't find it. My husband told me that when we bought this Dell, they had already put Microsoft Outlook on it with the Microsoft Word and Excel. Could this be true? I just can't find the disk anywhere. I also have Att.yahoo / dsl account, could they have sent me the software?
I just dont' know how to get it back on my computer. How did we get it on our computer in the first place if we technically didn't buy it? I can't find the software anywhere!!

If you did not pay for Microsoft Office it was a trial version that will expire in 60 days. If you paid for Microsoft Office call Dell and request your Microsoft Office disc and product key.

If you purchased directly from Dell, Windows would have been installed. Windows includes Outlook Express (their e-mail) - but not Outlook (which is part of Office Suite).

If you purchased new, you would have to have had specified that you wanted to purchase the Microsoft Office Suite. It would have come installed, but it would have cost you over and above the computer.

If you purchased a refurbished computer from Dell, and the MS Suite was on it, you might have gotten a good deal.

Are you sure you deleted the program, or just the shortcut leading to the program? Click Start, Programs, and see if it is listed. If it is, you are in luck. If not, you should contact Dell to see if something can be done. Before you contact Dell, look up your customer number, model number and serial number of the PC.

I have a Dell - the serial number is on a tag on the side of the computer tower. If you did in fact delete the program, I can't guarantee it won't cost you for a new license.

Last time I had to contact Dell they offered "chat with a rep."
