Blind faith is a tool to escape responsibility, truth, thought, wisdom, and reality. It often functions as a rather flimsy crutch for people who cannot face existence.
To not question is to do yourself and others great harm. I despise it with all of my being.
Edit: As other people have mentioned, of course, blind faith and faith are equivalent.

Faith--by defination--must have some Blindness--most Faith is in the belief--I may not know but I trust the one who does know.

Blind faith is bad. People delude themselves when they don't scrutinize. It much easier to have blind faith for some, because they don't have to choose based upon facts. It takes the guesswork out of it.

Faith is by definition blind ... if you could see what would be the point of believing??
Faith is in the heart ... the actions are what cause the destruction of civilizations. Your faith is yours and mine is mine ..... we will all know who is on the right path and who is in error. So wait ye ... I too am waiting.

I agree. If you have "blind" faith then you'll close your eyes to the bad sides of it.

I believe all faith is blind, it's implied in the description of faith. You are blinding yourself to anything but the object in which you have placed "faith". You are blind to other ideas, to evidence that your belief is invalid. You suspend all independent thought. You are ripe for any shyster, abuser, or thief who wants you to turn over your life and/or possessions in the name of your faith. You are an idiot.

Blind faith is faith. Faith is faith because it is belief in the unknown and unknowable. Otherwise it would be knowledge.

That's why I'm a Buddhist, because we take nothing on faith alone, but analytically study everything the Buddha's said. You know what's amazing? Nobody's been able to REALLY refute his teachings yet.
