Does it drive you crazy when people think you'd be offended by something silly?
I was at my sis' and someone said something like "when god closes a door he opens a window" and she was like "Jenae doesn't belive in god" (which was not her place to announce) But I DO NOT get offended when people say stuff like that or "god bless you" when I sneeze, or say that they'll pray for me if stuff is going bad in my life...
Anyhooo... just venting. I'm not that touchy! Does this happen to you?

Like I said, it doesn't bother me if they say they'll pray for me if something is going bad in my life. I'm not talking about when they wanna pray for me because they think I'm some poor lost soul who just needs to be shown the way. That's different.

YES! I am an atheist too and when I tell people that, they kind of act like even mentioning God or a higher force or whatever would totally offend me, which it doesn't. You can believe in whatever you want. I really don't care, just don't try to shove it down my throat.

I've never had anyone be offended, but here on YA, some people to tend to be a little more defensive about their beliefs

not at all. but i would get annoyed if someone interrupted a statement like that with "crystallinectar doesn't believe in god"
i mean really. if someone says "god bless you" when i sneeze, it's not them trying to shove their beliefs on me, it's just what they say when someone sneezes. the only time i get offended is when people try to shove their beliefs on me. otherwise, i don't give a damn.

I've had a window smash my finger once... seriously I don't sweat things. I've learned how to "pull" most of the "buttons" people used to be able to push with me.

Theists will often say "I'll pray for you." Right after laughing about evolution and claiming how they look forward to the rapture and time of tribulations.
It's often their way of saying "screw you" while sounding holier-than-thou.

but it is true, it's really not her place to say, she shoulda just said nothing about that little saying. i always say bless you to people who sneeze whether they believe in god or not, and guess what they say... thank you! it's just being polite.

yeah, i dont care if ppl say those type of things. the things christians say that piss me off, is "accept the lord savior into your heart" and "god loves all" or if they accuse me of being satanic, b/c i dont believe in god.
