It depends on your age..don't ever let other people make you feel overweight or insignificant. Just love yourself, and learn to accept yourself for who you are and be confident. Unless you are really really young, 122 lbs is NOT a weight to make you feel fat. Height, and many other factors contribute to your weight. Everyone is so individually unique, it's not fair to compare people in any way, shape or form. Just appreciate yourself for who you are.

I can't really help you too much because I don't know your height because for all I know that could be a healthy weight for you. You can always drink more water and add variety into your diet. Such as fresh fruits and vegetables. You can always stay active too. It doesn't have to be running or cardio videos. You can just walk around the park, the mall, play, housework, or whatever to keep yourself moving.

Don't...eight pounds is not a huge amount.

You could simply have more muscle mass than your friend, or denser bones... You could be taller/broader... any number of reasons. Depending on you age, you could also have a more ... pronounced physique ... than she.

If you are older than her, even a few months, that could also be an explanation...when combined with other possibilities.

Note that if you are more athletic than your friend, muscle is several times denser than adipose tissues. So, if you are athletic and she isn't, and you are both approximately the same size, that would be that likeliest reason.

don't go by weight, go by how you jiggle, you might have more muscle tone than she does and muscle weighs more. also , go by how you fit in your jeans, not how small a size you can squeeze into.
but also , you gotta change the way you think inside your head before you can change the way you feel about your body. know that everyone is shaped differently and there's no way you can expect to be thinner than all your friends
what's so good about being super thin? guys don't like super skinny girls, duh.
eat right, exercise, and discipline your thoughts.
mind, body, spirit

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Forget how much everyone in the world ways! Its how you respond to these kinds of things that show what strength you have in your soul.Just love yourself, and learn to accept yourself for who you are and be confident about all the problems that come knocking at your door.I would say that you don't need to lose weight cause I know that you are a very pretty girl even without looking at you ever in my life! So, don't pay attention to stuff like that and just have fun with your life. ^_^

Try to remember that the two of you are unique individuals with completely separate biological makeup. An 8lb difference in weight is not significant and certainly not worth downgrading your self worth over. It has nothing to do with what you are like on the inside. I am sure you are both beautiful.

if you are not happy then try to excercise like swimming or gentle jogging and try to eat a balanced diet cut out all fatty foods and replace with fruit and water in between meals to make you feel more full so you dont feel hungry try to drink between 2 - 4 litres of water a day as alot of the time your body is telling you that you are hungry when really you are dehydrated hope this helps
