I live near the M25/A12 junction and for the M3 I go South, for the M4 I go North.

So go south/anti-clockwise, but keep the radio on and listen to the traffic reports.

this does depend on what time of day you are travelling and what you are driving i will assume you are a car driver .if you are travelling in the morning there is less traffic if you go via the dartford tunnel but expect some delays at the tunnel and it only costs £1 but if you are travelling in the pm there does seem to be less traffic if you go north althou from 5pm 6pm the A12 turnoff is very slow

Go north. Pick up the M11 at Junction 27 then the A12 at Wanstead.
