Because it could not be written by just men. Each book ties in with the next in such an intracit way, and they span thousands of years from eachother. And when put together, they all lead in sequence to a main theme. The writers could never have forseen how their works would fit into a greater collection (the bible). There are other reasons but that is my formost reason for accepting the bible as the Word of God.
