The Bible is a loving gift from our Creator, Jehovah God. There are priceless principles contained in The Bible that, when we apply them in our lives, can bring us the highest level of satisfaction. This proves that our loving creator truly WANTS us to be happy.

It is God's way of communicating with us, and our way of really getting to know our Creator on a personal level, thus drawing close to him, and as James 4:8 tells us if we draw close to God he will draw close to us in return.

There I was living my way. I had been an A/B student in School (HS and college). I was fairly athletic and chicks dug me. I believed in God but wasn't sure what it meant.
I became a Cop thus being in the top five percent of hundreds of applicants.
Then things went wrong. I was accused of lying. I didn't this time. I had before, but I tried hard to be an honest person. I was fired . Ouch! Now what. I got a job catching shoplifters at Walmart. I wasn't the best because I vowed to be honest no fudging reports no stopping people without all the elements. They wanted more stops. So I would compromise on the elements but not the reports.
I got fired again. On my way home from that a radio ad came on called Practical Christian Living. The guy sounded very practical and funny. I knew God was speaking to me. That night I laid in bed hugging copy of the Bible wondering what I was going to do. Sunday morning came around I got up and I turned on the TV. There he was again the Pastor from the radio with a half hour show. So I watched and he invited people to his church. I went that day. He during his teaching he made a remark about not lying in bed hugging your Bible but opening it up and reading it. So why would he say that on that day?
Thats why I believe the Bible.

Greetings. The bible is the word of God. It is assembled by the Church for all Christians to read and to ponder. Assembled under the guidance of the Holy Spirit a thousand of so years ago. When we read the bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit we can feel a piece of the Kingdom of Heaven. Maybe something like Jacob's Ladder where there is an interface between Heaven and Earth. The Bible is the only source of truly good news in this sinful world. Its words give us hope and tells us of a savior that made the tree of life in Eden accessible to us again, despite our sins.

Good question. Peace be with you.

Because it is a letter of information and guidance from our God, our Creator and he is our Heavenly Father who has a name, Jehovah.
He took the time to tell us why we are in this pitiful mess, gave us his only begotten son, Jesus as a Ransom sacrifice for our sins and Jehovah has even had recorded for us what he is going to do in the near future.
To clear his name from reproach that was brought on it by Adam, Eve and Satan as well as to restore mankind to a spiritual, emotional and physical perfection.
All the while, the earth too will be brought back to a Paradise condition where even the animals and man will live in peace.

If I could listen to anyone's advice for my life, if I knew anybody that could help me with anything I ever needed, if I ever needed a real friend I would choose God. So how do I listen to him? By reading my Bible, which is God's Word. This is my best reason for accepting the Bible.

Because it is true. It is the word of God. People who say it is not are only fooling themselves. No other book in history makes predictions that actually come true. No other ancient religious book has been proved over and over again to be 100% accurate with respect to archeology and history.

The Bible is above the voice of God. In 2 Peter 1:18-19 Peter ,James and John were with Jesus and heard God's voice......

"And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:"

So the word of God is above his voice becaus it is" more sure" as Peter said above.

The Bible is also even above God's name...

Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Oh thank you Lord for giving us your word, absolute truth!

God bless cap'n Arlo

1). Because it's 'proven' to be true through and through.

2.) It is the 'mind of God in print'.

Can't be any better reasons than that for me.

God bless.

It says that it was written by God, and since God wrote it, everything in there must be true since it says it is the word of God, and the word of God is always true.

Also, don't eat shellfish.
