I was wondering, if I watched what I ate and did little to no exercise would I lose weight by sweating in a sauna ( of course drinking lots of water)?

Sweating alone will not cause weight loss. In order to get your body into a fat burning state you have to engage in any physical activity that increases your heart rate to 55 to 90% of your maximum heart rate for a duration of at minimum 20 mins 3 times a week. To find your maximum heart rate subtract your age from 220. Not only will you be on your way to weight loss ( pending your diet ) but you will be strengthening your heart and increasing your lung capacity.

Eating right + Keeping your heartrate in the 'zone' for over 30-45 minutes is what will help you lose weight, not some uncomfortable sauna suit. Do not under-eat. Figure out your daily calorie intake to determine how much you need to be eating. If its recommended that you eat 2700 calories a day, eat about 2200-2500 per day to lose weight. Its called running a calorie deficit. There is no magic potion that will help you lose weight - it takes dedication and determination. Most people don't have it in them. Do you?
