You need a history lesson.

If you can't or won't read that, let me know and I'll summarize for you.

It had nothing to do with obeying Mexican rules. I don't know if you just made that up or if someone has been telling you these things, but you are grosely misinformed.

P.S. By the way, in 1845 - before the war - Americans outnumbered Mexicans in Texas 10 to 1. So, even then, it wasn't YOUR land. Get over it.

Actually, they were invited. Mexico didn't put much value in it's sparsely populated northern reaches at the time, so they invited American settlers in. The settlers eventually became the majority and demanded independence, which they fought for and won.

Not really that different from what's going on in S.CA: there's a need for cheap labor that's being filled by Mexican colonists. Only difference is, they weren't invited, and there's still time to boot them before they revolt like the Texans did.

The illegal-Mexicans that don't obey the American rules from 1848 - 2007

They don't understand English is the common language in the U.S. They don't understand that everyone has religious freedom in the U.S. And they took the $18.25 Million dollars that the U.S. bought the land with and squandered it like they do everything else.

$18.25 Million dollars broken down.

$15 Million dollars paid in full cash
$3.25 Million dollars paid Mexico's debts

And stop confusing the Native American Indians, the Aztecs, with the Mexican Indians, the Aztecas.

Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The USA paid 15 million for the land after Mexico lost the war in 1848. I'd say that was pretty generous since we could have just taken it.

Learn your history, and look up the Gadsden Purchase while you're at it.

The spoils of war are given to the winner! It's a fact. In war it's not a theft but an acquisition. If you'd won, you'd feel the same way Americans do. No one in this country has to be a catholic or any other form of religion, it's by choice.

OK... quick history lesson... when people are unhappy with their government they fight for what they want. The people in Texas were upset when the government amended the Constitution with a somewhat new one. They fought and they won. Some paid the price with their lives but they believed in what they were fighting for, for their future and their future generations... Sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in ... and they did.. and they won :)
