Of course not. But bible believers aren't operating on all cylinders. When they feel persecuted, they perceive the persecution extends to their holy book and everything around them. For them, the sacred is off limits for discussion.
In the same way they breathed life into their creation, "God', they are now doing with their book, the "Bible". Just as they ascribe human emotions and qualities to their father figure by anthropomorphized him, they are now doing the same to their scripture - humanizing it if you will.
The irony lies in the hypocrisy. Gee, there's a word you never hear associated with religion. Here a Christian claims his book is being persecuted when Christians have been famous for persecuting books for centuries via book burnings.
Bibliolatry: A form of idolatry, resulting from the acceptance of the Bible as an error free rendition of divine inspiration. So much authority is assigned to the Bible that it, in effect, becomes the object of worship.
— Howard M. Teeple
The bookful blockhead, ignorantly read, / With loads of learned lumber in his head...
— Alexander Pope
I do not like your Bible verse,
It makes no sense, it is too terse,
It is devoid of all context,
What will your Holy Book say next?
I do not like your Bible verse,
it seems to go from bad to worse.
— Niall McAuley
The Church has through the centuries, understood that ideas are really more dangerous than other weapons. Their use should be restricted.
— Francis J. Lally, American Roman Catholic Monsignor, Mike Wallace Interview
The Church doesn't believe in book-burning, but it believes in restricting the use of dangerous books among those whose minds are unprepared for them.
— IBID
We found a great number of books...and since they contained nothing but superstitions and falsehoods of the Devil we burned them all.
— Catholic Bishop Diego De Landa, after burning priceless books of Mayan history and science, July 1562
Burn the libraries, for their value is in this one book (the Koran).
— Omar I, 2nd Caliph, at the capture of Alexandria

Yes we can perseucte someone that is sociopath and has no feelings, emotions. Absolutely But whether they receie that or not, who knows? Most are that way because of so much hurt in their life that led to curse and fear of closeness, etc.
and we will be held accountible for persecuting someone , whether they acknowledge it or not.
Its like a retarded child may let you steal from them and use them as they know no better. But it is sitll wrong, and we still will be held accountible for what WE Do we always ask What would Jesus do? and therin lies the truth to every question. IF someone was so beat down in life and had no feelings anymore, or emotions, would Jesus stand and attempt to peresecute them and make them feel even worse??? I think not Great question and I hope it makes ppl think, we are responsible for what we do in all circumstances, and we mus ttreat others as we would want to be treated and how Jesus would treat them. Suddenly thinking like that, we know what we are to do, huh?
Only the devil persecutes them. Jesus came to save, heal and deliver . amen
Lets all start to treat ech other better, and try to see ppl thru the eyes of the Holy Spirit. He doesnt see the bad person satnding there. He sees the innocent little child they were before so much abuse, and loves them anyhow, and still longs to save them all. That must be our hearsts desire.
Jsut cuz someone will let us abuse them doesnt mean we are to do that, and if we want to, we already belong to the devil.

I like the idea of removing the bible being called sanitation. Either way I have no idea why it is something that is inanimate can be persecuted.

nope. it cant "feel" anything. so in order for it to "feel persecuted" it would have to be a living breathing human being.

Well, Christians are persecuted in China, and I've met several of those with no emotions and no sense.
(They aren't the only people I've met with neither....)
