The IRA used to give warnings just before their bombs went off

The Islamic terrorists have a different policy - no warnings

Well according to one retired Canadian secret service man one of the things standing in the way is knee jerk political reactions like a No fly list

According to this retired secret service man a no fly list makes it harder to catch the bad guys because it tips them off that they are being watched

So they go to the airport and try to fly from a to b - they get on the plane as a normal person with nothing criminal and so they know the spy community isn't on to them -

Conversely they get stopped and denied - they know they are being watched and they go underground

The spy community's hand has been tipped by a government that is in a panic

So why is it that now the police play catch up and before they didn't ? The government let them do their job before and now they don't

Well, first the authorities have to create the "terrorist incident" and only then do they reveal it in an effort to frighten the public into accepting a police state.

“Today, America would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all people of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the world government.” - Henry Kissinger (Bilderburg Conference 1991 Evians, France)

the british police and the anti terrorism branch have been formed to fight the latest outrages, but in the 1900,s they failed miserably when ireland was under british rule as the ira had infiltrated our democratic systems, advanced information is also being relayed,by people out to destroy england who masqeurade as loyal british subjects, the police cannot even deal with the criminal activities of our native criminals and they are not empowered to give stiff penalties for crime only the judiciary can do this, the general public are the ones who are active in this situation as they are the victims, but report incidents to the police,a good question and very relevant

They aren't. A terrorist cell who planned explosions in early 2001 were sent down at the Old Bailey a few weeks ago.

You don't hear about police/security service interdiction because stopping a bomb isn't as newsworthy as detonating a bomb!

Last time I checked, the police forces in most countries similar to the UK and USA, make up less than 5% of the population. You cannot police something that has not happened. They foiled the attempt... What else do you want?

The world will always be playing "catch-up" to terrorists because once we foil one attempt, they will try another way of achieving the same disgusting thing... Murdering innocent lives.

Simple.......the same reason why they are playing catch-up with burglars, shoplifters, rapists, muggers, curb-crawlers, paedophiles, murderers, car thieves, hooligans, etc...and worst of all.......smokers.......
Its because they are forced to play with an altogether different rule-book.
Criminals do whatever it takes to get what they want, but the Police must stay within the bounds of the law........sometimes to their peril.

It is because astrology has been removed from the curriculum at Hendon!

Not like the good old days when Senior Officers had turbans they could bang on their heads at a minutes notice and forsee 'fuzzy-wuzzies' planning attacks in the wispy strands of joss sticks!!!!!

You are right to demand an answer in your strident tones!

Go on!!!!!...Ask!!!!!!!!!!!!
