Sunday church attendance is a requirement under the dogma of the Roman Catholic Church.
If we are not Roman Catholic, we are not under the laws, rules, guidelines, and bondage of a faith that is not ours.

It's a sin to forsake assembling together with other believers but it's not a sin not to go to church on Sunday because every day of the week is holy unto the Lord as he is our Sabbath.

AS, one person put it not going to church is not a sin. Aside from not

CHOOSING

to go to church on Sunday, there may be other reasons why a person might not attend Sunday worship service.

AND,

as far as going to church on Saturday or Sunday, God makes no distinction of when you go to church. It is the Heart that God looks at. Technically, Sabbath keeping belong to Jews and Jewish Proselytes;

NOT

Gentiles which we are.

For one because Sunday is not the Sabbath day. The Bible never says it is nor does the New Testament ever imply there is any specific Sabbath day we must keep since the Messiah (Jesus) has come. People meet for church on Sunday because this is the day Paul instructed them to do so. Not naming it as a Sabbath or any new law we have to keep. Even Catholics dont always go to church on Sunday, many go to Saturday services. God doesnt care what day you worship Him, only that you do.

Actually we don't know what day of the week was day one of creation. Saturday is named after a Roman god Saturn. The calendar we use is Roman not Hebrew.
Going to church is not part of keeping the Sabbath actually the Jews were supposed to do nothing but worship and spend time with God. If the temple was further than a quarter mile than you could not go.
So Jesus came and finished the law. Meaning that just doing things because you are supposed to do not because you want to is bad. The sabbath is now in your heart. Every moment you spend with the Lord is holy.
It is no longer about a day it is about your love of Jesus.

It isn't a sin for anyone not to go to church on Sunday. We are just encouraged to assemble together.

Nothing in the Bible says that Christians HAVE to attend church services.

According to the Ten Commandments, we should "keep the sabbath holy." But how could we really do that, and how many succeed? Only "never telling a lie" could be much harder to accomplish.

The Bible does say not to 'forsake the assembling' of believers. However missing a Sunday or two does not mean one has forsaken the assembly.

Rom 14:5,6 "One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God."

Col 2:16 "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day."
