Sounds like you could use some professional help, on this one..Dont do it yourself...Too complicated..Save the heartache and get it done professionally. Youll be happier with the end result.

Since you have very dark hair, I wouldn't recommend bleaching your hair yourself.

It would take a strong solution to lift the color & create the desired color for highlights. Results can be unpredictable - you can end up w/ damaged hair & an ugly color.

The other thing is that you need to apply the highlights judiciously so it looks good.

Maybe you should consider an allover color that will bring out more variation in your hair. For example, L'Oreal Natural Match in 3W.

Bleaching your hair is very harsh and can kill your hair...so it will make your hair dry and frizzy looking but if you want to do that than go ahead...but if you want a better alternative that is better on your hair...than use lemon juice and go out in the sun for 30 mins and then wash your hair in dish soap. and keep doing that 1 time a day and it will help till you get it the shade that you want.

Try using Sun-In Spray Hair Lightener. You can buy it at drugstores and it works very fast and it's only about $4.49 a bottle in the states. Just follow the directions on the bottle, it's very easy and safe to use.

Wash your hair with some diluted lemon and then let it dry naturally in the sun - it will help to lighten it.

well, you can use bleach, but make sure you don't get it anywhere. peroxide and lemon juice can lighten it, but i would recommend staying in the sun with those because it will work much faster.
