They're both bad, but I think exporting a job to China is even worse since Chinese workers in China spend nearly $0 on American imports but illegals here in America spend a substantial portion of their wages here.

Hiring the illegal. That is breaking the law. Plus, by hiring the illegal they artificially keep the wage floor down, in essence stealing money from the pockets of those least able to afford it.

Moving a job overseas is based on the need to keep costs low. All markets are competitive. Lowering costs keeps one's business competitive and in existance.

Unless you propose the government guarantee a company's earnings and profits, then there's no point in blaming a company for doing what it needs to remain competitive.

a legitimate question--one not likely to draw any real opinions based on anything but ignorance. notice how the language and attitudes deteriorate into the ravings of thinly veiled racists. there have been several cost analysis studies, one most recently in texas, that showed the "illegals" brought so much more into the economy than took out. AND they did pay sales taxes and even Soc. Sec. with no chance to collect.

We all benefit by paying so little for produce and other items because they are so willing to work harder than most americans. and no worker wanted to work in the poisoned and hazardous sites in new orleans but these same "Illegals" to rebuild one of our great cities. and oftentimes after working l-o-n-g hours, were not paid at all, or at a rate not agreed upon. we all benefit from their labors whether you know it or not.

sometimes, it shames me what people say in the name of america.

Either way an American worker is loosing his/her job but with illegal immigration we are also out any government assistance that is needed, education, etc.

I think it is worse to hire an illegal because not only does the illegal get away with not paying taxes, but the business does not have to report all of the ones that they hire that are illegal. Then they end up paying less taxes too. We are the ones paying all of these missing taxes.

They are both wrong and a detriment to our nation's economy but I think taking jobs illegally is the most criminal.

Hiring illegals is more offensive but both are bad.

Both are arguably unpatriotic. Both, in theory, 'cost' American jobs.

One is illegal.

Nope, they are not even remotely comparable. Go after the company breaking the immigration laws.
