If you take the hangover prevention pill (which is available at most drugstores) before you take the first sip it will replace the nutrients which are used by your liver in processing the alcohol. The loss of these nutrients is what causes the hangover. Another way is to take a multiple vitamin and two aspirin or tylenol as you start drinking, and drink water in between drinks. But remember that alcohol is a poison. You can actually die of an overdose, though most people pass out before that happens. These days young people don't really use alcohol to have a good time; it is like a contest to see who can hold the most liquor. That is just plain dangerous because people who do that are coming up with cirrhosis (sp?) of the liver at much younger ages than before when alcohol was used more casually. And, actually, throwing up is your body's way of getting rid of the poison. If you need to, you need to. The question is "why?" It isn't fun after you start to get dizzy, so drink slower, take your medicine beforehand and drink water, lots of water. Another thing that helps your stomach is to eat while you drink. But no matter what, if you drink way too much you will probably be sick. Good luck.

Wow, what people will ask with the shield of the anonymity of the internet... Well, throwing up after drinking has several contingencies: How much do you weigh? Did you eat anything before drinking? and so on... What you drank was 12 oz or 12 shots of vodka. Plus "some sips" could push you to way over that actual amount. Combine that with a statement like "apparently, I threw up everywhere", which gives a strong indication that you don't actually remember, and I'd suggest that you now know your limit for what it takes to black out and I would also strongly suggest that you not exceed that limit.

No. You can postpone it a little by eating before and during your binge but eventually you will either pass our or throw up. The only way to prevent it is to quit drinking before it happens.

First of all, make sure you eat a lot before drinking.
Second, drink one glass of water between each alcoholic drink.
Third, don't mix your alcohols. Stick with one.

Ok I don't think it is legal but I once had a dramamine because I get car sick and a bunch of us were going on three-hour drive for a diner party.
I had a blast! Probably had a bottle of red wine by myself and never got sick, instead it was a smooth ride and a smooth evening drinking wine. A doctor told me the dramamine prevents you from getting sick and gave me the details but I just don't remember.
There!

Probably not. When I was a kid, we'd guzzle like crazy right off the bat and then pull in to the Clark station and puke in their bathroom. After that it was smooth sailing the rest of the night. Eventually we didn't have to stop at the Clark station.

That beer before liqour saying is bullshit.
Your best bet is to build your tolerence. Another thing that helps is not drinking anything overly sweet, I stick to diet pop as a mixer.
Don't smoke pot when you're hammered.
