You could do a short bob if your hair is ear length, but it would look better if you let it grow a couple more inches first.

I think a bob is when it comes down to touch your shoulders at the longest. It can still sway but isnt so long that it falls down your shoulders to your back.

there are different bob lengths so look for what you want.also there are different styles of bobs too.
