I've seen televangelists say that on broadcast TV.
Not that they weren't trolling too.

By the use of the word "trolling" do you mean trying to catch fish or just wandering about searching for something or someone?
As a"NO" I think they are listening to their pure innate nature that tells them that there is no God and no wrong so just do and think whatever they want. Likewise just accept any idea you want as fact and maybe adopt and adapt the idea of others who like you are convinced that I AM means that the Big I is themselves and they can will anything they want for it must be mind over matter.
That trolling tells me they are seeking in nature as naturalists knowing that the animals are smarter than any human being could ever be. Look at the animals, they do not need to wear clothes with pockets, they need no money and never seek employment. They are so smart that they always find what they need to survive with only the seek effort.
Thus a naturalist is convinced that the greatest source to have any hope is the monkey. ha ha Maybe a mirror does aid in this because of the look alike features. I know the trolling in looking for fish is probably not what you meant for I do not see too many humans with fins and gills OK.
Oh just for the record a "NO" does have a name for his God. It is " I AM" ......
That is to say the given name is "I" for God is the only true "I" who can do anything he wants. "AM" is the middle name for it say God was, is, and always be thus He can be sure His will is done. The last dots are for others to supply the family name they desire such as truth, light, non existing, never was, no god, or whatever your pure innate nature want for that family name. My friend to a "NO" ones innate nature reveals who his God's family name is.

I had a couple of Mormons over here the other day who certainly believed that the theory of evolution says humans came from monkeys. I spent a good half hour setting them straight, but I got the impression they'd heard it all before and were going to spread the same bullshit at the next house. I guess they've subconsciously decided that the best way to defend their beliefs is to accept their own straw man argument as fact and tune out when someone says otherwise. Certainly there's a lot of support for that particular brand of willful ignorance these days.

Perhaps you have never heard that slavers justified their actions, by asscociating negroes with apes. Maybe you didn't know that evolution has been used more recently by tyrants in their attempt to dominate the entire planet. Unfortunately, many very inteligent atheists are unaware that they repeat these lies far more often than fundmentalists do. The real issue was never about geneology, it was about making small gods, out of natural processes (ie natural selection). Survival of the fittest was the national sport of ancient Rome, you could see it up front and brutal at the circus. The score was Lions 10, Christians 0. But at some point, someone vomited, and thought 'I've seen enough, maybe there's a better way to look at ourselves, and maybe we are more than animals, competing for space and food. Maybe, just maybe, the guy down their in the sand, who won't fight back, has more class than a monkey..."

The be conscious "have faith" isn't the comparable using fact the be conscious "opinion". interior the Bible, the be conscious is used incredibly much the comparable as "seek for God". It conveys the concepts of wanting and searching for. It does no longer mean that we are specific that God exists. (Oh, purely in case I forget. Pascal's wager would not fail using fact there are a number of faiths. it particularly is like asserting arithmetic isn't actual using fact human beings get incorrect solutions on a attempt.) there is a few thing in our human nature that demands that our lives have purpose and meaning and particularly worth. on condition that God exists can those be actual. Oh, valuable we can invent them for ourselves out of our mind's eye yet deep interior we nonetheless comprehend that our innovations are imaginary. existence has no real meaning, purpose or factor and not using a author nor do our lives have any particularly worth without Him. on a similar time as our human nature would not tutor He exists, it does provide me adequate reason to desire Him and to hunt for Him. and that's all He asks individuals: seek for and ye shall locate.

This common misconception about the book "The Descent of Man" has been around since the Scopes monkey trial, and has been repeated for so long that some people take it as fact.

They are being told this, and its what some people actually believe. Religious dogma is often full of nonsense.
You are the first person on here (besides myself) that I have encountered that has shown that you know the difference between a monkey and an ape - STAR.

They know the truth.... obviously it is their way of using "humor" to try and play down the fact that evolution is excepted more than having an ancestor that was fabricated out of thin air and one that was made from a rib of the fabrication.

Yes they are being told that...by ignorant xtians who hear bits and pieces of the theory of evolution and then draw their own incorrect assuptions about the science without ever taking the time to learn its actual tenants. They would be better off to watch my dance and sip some sake, for it is much more educational!!`

Public Service Announcement: The difference between apes and monkeys is that apes have the ability to brachiate, or travel via swinging arms. Monkeys do not do this. They walk or climb, but dont swing from limb to limb.
If you ask me, I think it is something they hear from pastors and evangelists, and pass it along to others.

Most definate propaganda. It is a way to mock people who stand for human evolution. Religious people want this theory gone so they get it to be mocked within culture.
