Everyone wins right? No, imigration bill = no amnesty, everyone should rejoice right? There were so many critics of that bill, it was so terrible, so many flaws, it would lead to so many negative consequences everyone said. Well I went to my local 7-eleven yesterday, and I noticed a young hispanic woman struggling with two small toddlers, a young baby (maybe 6-9 months old) and looked very pregnant. I offered to help her (in spanish) to carry the milk and eggs she came for, she thanked me several times as i put them in front of the cashier. As I walked out I mentioned I don't know how she does it walking to a convenience store with so many little ones. Well the nice woman explained to me all the kids were hers, all 9months apart in age, and that her children would take good care of her in the future since they are citizens. I was thinking isn't this a form of amnesty? What now? What is your comprehensive immigration plan? How would you change things if you had full control?

The first thing would be to put a real comprehensive reform on that 14th amendment. So you DON'T see an ILLEGAL popping out babies every freaking 9 months. And happy that the fact they they are American citizens and will take care of her!! Total BS!
** The 14TH Amendment was for Slaves that helped out in the war, and so now they and their children will become citizens. There isn't a clause in there that says ILLEGAL ALIENS too.

There is NO way ALL illegal immigrants are gonna be deported. They're a great contribution to our economy. Even though many people complain that immigrants are taking away they're jobs i doubt that many of them would want to go pick up the harvest or clean the dirty restrooms that our fellow immigrants do for us. Why you may ask? Because we think we're too good for those jobs! If it was up to me I would help the students to get legalized first. Because they're the ones that have a better chance to get an education. Then giving the illegal immigrants some sort of residency but if they screw up then too bad ur out. Also children from illegal immigrants get to keep their citizenship even if they're parents are not from here. Also i would give more priority to people that have been here for more than 5-10 yrs and that have made a fair and respectful living here in the USA.

Now nothing. Congress has shown that they're too polarized to agree on a plan even when it's a compromise. It's just more of the same inaction now.
Thumbs down, eh? Some people just don't like the truth. I don't see how anyone can argue with the cold hard facts unless you haven't been reading the news.
I'm not saying that's the way it SHOULD be. That's the way it IS, and I don't like it any more than you do.

Our Senators and Representatives have to understand the very laws they passed years ago are there to be enforced. Why is that so hard to understand and deal with? The final bill included a lot of fat that was not need for this measure. What is bad is that our congressmen/women don't even read what it is they are passing. When they get bombarded with calls, emails and letters telling them to go ahead and pass that bill and then suffer consequences of not getting re-elected, then they stop and have second thoughts. That was a bad bill and the people were heard in this matter.

Secure the borders...ancient Chinese did it so can we.. Next No guaranteed citizenship for children born to non-citizens, make that retro-active... Punish any employer of non-work visa or green card carrying non-citizens.. and deport the illegals.. I think these people shoud be given a limited time to cash in their assets and gather their belongings.Any employer caught employing an illegal should have to pay for the deportation and cost of moving back to the employees country of origin . Since the American people have made their stance on amnesty quite clear, illegals should already be making these arrangements for themselves and leaving on their own... These people like any others who wish to work in this country or become a citizen need to go through the right channels.. The US should have strict immigration laws so those admitted into this country are educated, willing to learn the language and will be an asset not a burden on American tax payers.

Enforce out laws now as they are written by first building the wall/fence on our boarder. Also, this wall needs to be positioned across our entire boarder and not simply along 370 miles as many liberal politicians have suggested
Keep in mind the $4.4 billion President Bush offered for additional boarder security, Was only a political ploy and is no longer available- since his amnesty bill was defeated.
We must remain focused and continue to demand that our Congress actually represents the interest's of American Citizens above those of illegal foreign illegal aliens.

Enforcement is the key. However, just deporting is not adequate. The law now provides for imprisonment for up to 6 months on the first offense. That should be the standard. It will cost money but it will cost more money if we do not. Time to build prisons and camps. When we start enforcing many will "deport" themselves.
Employers get up to 10 years for employing illegals. Give it to them.
Fences are necessary because they show the line not to be crossed. People say that it's too much fence but we built fences on both sides of how many miles of interstate to save wildlife? The real teeth would be in electronic detection and quick response teams ( SWAT like). That will take money . If we are willing to spend it to save deer, we should do it to save our country.
Fortifications are useless. Historically, it has been proven time and time again. Walls and fortifications require too much in resources that are better applied to fast moving mobile forces. Walls and fortifications are only practical where population centers meet on the border. Such walls and fortifications must be manned.
Keep the pressure on the government and demand that the law be enforced. Pain caused is the guilt of those that chose not to comply with the law. There is no guilt for those that demand enforcement or enforce. No one has the right to ignore the law and choose not to enforce it . If they disagree due process can change it.
Taxes should be spent on the country and it’s people not on foreigners. If foreigners do not like their condition, they should fix their own country.
Those who come in legally should be welcomed with open arms and we should be glad to receive people who will comply with the law.

It is, but it is better than just granting ALL of them amnesty. The laws are that citizens can sponser relatives and maybe the woman will do things right when her children are older and sponser her.

Leave them alone.
That also proves that she wants her children to get a great education to become good people and to help out people like herslef, (not when people say they all drop--out of high school or don't know english). Hey some, or most "illegal" immigrants want the best for their children. And some don't even know how high to aim because they never made it there.

I would charge any employer who hires illegals, sent all back on buses everyone not here legally and put 20 foot fences with barbed wire on top and electical across every bokrder from Calif to NY, florida where ever Mexicans come in Arizonia, texas, New Mexico, not enough border patrol bet electriacl fences would stop them, and all patrol officers should have guard dogs to look for tunnels, and dynamite them once found
