She is over a year old and has started doing this on a daily basis. She has never done this before and there have been no major changes in lifetstyle, diet or food etc.

put Cayenne pepper on the soil when she smells the soil she will get a noseful of the pepper and it will stop her.

Put gravel on top the dirt and it will not like to dig in it. Or put a barrier on the pot, like a tin pie plate with a hole in it for the plant's stem

try moving the plant by the litter box she may just want some privace , but if the litter box is by anything that makes loud noises or her cat food just move the litter box cats hate going poop in a noisy place and they don't like to poop where they eat

Try putting some "Bitter Apple" on the pot. Cats hate the smell.

put really big rocks in your plants pots. It was the only thing that stopped my little black beauty from pooping in my plants.

There's a kitty spray that contains ammonia that can be sprayed anywhere to keep a cat from pooping. I seemed to have seen it at Wal* Mart.

put tape over then pot and your kittie will never get on the plant again!

let the cat do it it helps the plant it provides nutrients for the plant so it can thrive and you dont have to waste money on kitty litter

hmmmmm you take pepper juice from hot peppers and put it in a spray bottle with water. delute it a little though, spray that on your plants (not the kitty) and soil and your problem should end!!!
