I really love to sing and I can darn sing. I want to become a singer. I want it so desperately that when I'm out in public I tend to sing aloud hoping someone could give me a record deal. I love Paula DeAnda and I wish I could be just like her and she performed for Clive Davis.

Paula DeAnda was asked to perform for Clive Davis by the Senior VP of the Arista Records A&R (Artist & Repertoire) department. Her song "Doing Too Much" was getting a lot of airplay.

You need to have some level of success first before the majors will hear you.

Clive Davis is the head of the label, but you need to have an A&R person contacting you first. Get a demo recorded and shop it around, and perform anywhere you can as often as you can. It's not easy, but it's the best way to get noticed. People don't just audition for the heads of music labels, otherwise they would be hearing hundreds of "really good singers" every week.

Find a way to send him a copy of your demo. Or you can *in order*:

!: Find out where Arista Records is located

2: Find their number

3: Call them

4: Make a meeting with Clive Davis.

That's the only way I know of that can help :) Good luck
