Asking the Iraqi's to protect themselves right now is like asking my four year old to patrol the school hallways - actually my four year old would probably do a better job.

YOu mean like Italky or France in WWII? or the Blacks in the south in the Civil war? or 70% of the colonist in the American revolution, that where ieither loyal to Britian, or refused to help either side. It's very common for locals not to raise a finger, or not much more, then complain about the political aand military problems in there war torn country. It's more the rule, than the exception. CUbans in 1898, did fight against Spain , with Us, and that is one of the few cases of such happening.

The American military does what they are told to do. You are asking the same question thousands, millions? before you have asked.
We should not protect people unwilling to help themselves.(Of course this is just my uneducated opinion.)

Actually a lot of Iraqis are taking up the fight. It's a civil war in my opinion. Just because half of them are against us doesn't mean they're not fighting.

Al Quaida, Al Quaida, Al Quaida. Do you have a better way that we can do this that we can implement right now?

This is National Security! Until we can get terrorists to stop dying for underlying economic causes that they have no stake in .....by having been programmed to die and to kill for a mythological religion(s), and who have access to weapons of mass destruction, it is our problem, because we are seen as King of the Hill of blame for the world's problems by their programming.
