That is quite a quote by Luther!

Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

verses show a choice to make lives work apart from Christ.

I am thinking that we are already judged when we reject God's offer of salvation.

Now, I am thinking about whether Christ judges the unbeliever! arrghhh you making me work too hard ;)

I completely agree. I admit that I haven't thought about that, but I do agree with that. Jesus Christ doesn't sit back and judge the unbeliever. It's the unbeliever that sits back and says that Christ isn't needed. This is an awesome quote. Christ desires to be with every person on this earth. It is the people here that choose whether or not to worship him or to accept him as the savior of the world. He accepts us regardless.

I do not know the context, but I think I see what he was saying. Yes. Exactly right. It's the first statement I would have to know the context. Verse 15 says about judging after the flesh...Christ said He does not judge after the flesh.
He looks on the HEART.

I don't go along with it at all. The non-believer does not consider Christ unnecessary or inadequate. They do consider him non-existant. He was executed a long time ago.

He's wrong. People cannot judge or consider anything about that which they do not believe exists.

Yet that belief never caused him to discriminate against those who did not believe in his god.

Martin Luther King was racist, due to his 'sermons' on the Jews.

how about these?

"Therefore be on your guard against the Jews, knowing that wherever they have their synagogues, nothing is found but a den of devils in which sheer self-glory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming of God and men are practiced most maliciously and veheming his eyes on them."

"First, that their synagogues be burned down, and that all who are able toss sulphur and pitch; it would be good if someone could also throw in some hellfire...

Second, that all their books-- their prayer books, their Talmudic writings, also the entire Bible-- be taken from them, not leaving them one leaf, and that these be preserved for those who may be converted...

Third, that they be forbidden on pain of death to praise God, to give thanks, to pray, and to teach publicly among us and in our country..."

Fourth, that they be forbidden to utter the name of God within our hearing. For we cannot with a good conscience listen to this or tolerate it...

Well it sounds accurate, but on the other hand Martin Luther was a bigoted, self-obsessed fanatic with a god-complex, so it balances out.
