I do not think it is okay to execute people. Surely you realize that many people oppose the death penalty?

No more than it was when God authorized armies to kill enemies. When a person has been found guilty of murder in the first degree, beyond all shadow of doubt, then execution is merely taking out the trash.

If someone killed your whole family. What would be the right punishment? It is wrong to kill but I believe that you need to be able to take consequences if you kill. Execution is not a murder. It is a punishment.
This is a hard question. We should ALWAYS work toward saving a life.

Indeed it is murder. I don't believe it's ok to execute people. I do believe in self defense.

If they murdered other people, I could see that.
However, I think I'd rather die then spend my life in jail. So I think the death penalty is almost a gift compared to the alternative.
