here are some FACTS for you about illegals and what they contribute. but of course you will just ignore them so you can sit on your high horse and continue to bash everyone and anything that doesn't fit into your narrow frame of er thinking. Just stay angry it's good for your soul. lol
What is the whole imagration thing about anyway? Arn't they performing a service to America and should't we be grateful for their cheap labor?
Business doesn't want to pay a decent wage if they don't have to. Consumers don't want expensive produce do we?
Government will tell you Americans don't want the jobs
But the bottom line is cheap labor
The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie;
There is no such thing as "cheap labor."
Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children.
He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00/hour.
At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax,
Yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return,
He gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free.
He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent
He qualifies for food stamps He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay)
Health care.
His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.
He requires bilingual teachers and books.
He qualifies for relief from high energy bills, If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled,
They qualify for SSI.
Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare.
All of this is at that taxpayer's! Expense .
He doesn't worry about car insurance, life
Insurance, or homeowners insurance.
Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins
And printed material.
He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to
$30.00/hour in benefits
Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills...and his.
The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime,
Graffiti and trash clean-up.
Cheap labor?
YEAH RIGHT!
Wake up people!
I don't think this is political; it is economics! As a matter of fact, It is very poor economics for the USA.
In addition to that cost to our Welfare System, they also send money back to Mexico and that money helps the Mexican Economy and hurts ours by the loss of it leaving. Mexico says they receive $20 Billion a year from their citizens here working. There are others that say the figure is closer to $40 Billion a year. Which ever it is, when that money leaves here it stops circulating in our economy and helps them. That is why Mexico helps their people sneak into the USA. That is the second largest source of income in the Mexican Economy, next to Pemex, the State Oil Company.
The Cry from our Legislators that "We can't deport 20 million people.", is not true.
We could. However, if Our Government, (Our President, and Our Congress) required every Policeman to enforce our Laws and arrest every Illegal Alien they encountered, and paid a $50 bonus to the policeman for that arrest, and then required the Illegal to serve 2 years in Sheriff Joe's Jail (or one like it), we would soon have those Illegals deporting themselves.
It is a matter of Enforcement of the Law. When they say "Nobody is above the Law.", That should not just apply to Paris Hilton, it should apply to every Illegal Alien who ends up costing us about $15,000 a year.
Let's insist that our Government Enforce the Law. Arrest and incarcerate. Amnisty is not the answer or what ever you want to call it, if they want to become citizens play by the rules. We take in by far more new legal citizens each year then any othe country. It's fair and it helps our country. Why are there so many hell bent on destroying our way of life? I just don't get it.

I wouldn't be in that situation because I obey the law.
No,to answer your question, we'll use petty theft as an example. If you steal something you are punished, pay fines and it's over. You must however return what it is you stole or pay for it,you don't get to freely keep it. You will also have a permanent record that can effect many areas of your life.
With the now dead amnesty bill, the illegals would not have had to give back what they had taken, therefore it was what I like to call amnesty plus.

Gee, it is very hard to understand you, since you do not exhibit a good command of our English language, but yes, it is amnesty. Amnesty is dead (for the moment).
Amnesty is dead and we will kill it again should it revive.
From the INS naturalization guidelines:
"You will need to take a test which demonstrates that you can speak and write in English. You will also be tested on basic history and government in the U.S."
OK, you don't like guidelines?
Here's the LAW
Immigration and Nationality Act (8 USC)
TITLE 8, CHAPTER 12, SUBCHAPTER III, Part II, Sec. 1423
(a) No person except as otherwise provided in this subchapter shall hereafter be naturalized as a citizen of the United States upon his own application who cannot demonstrate -
(1) an understanding of the English language, including an ability to read, write, and speak words in ordinary usage in the English language…

Well let's see, after I jumped the border, or committed a non-felony, I then worked under the table (another law broken), and claimed welfare on top of my undisclosed income (yet another law broken) sucked the system dry using it for free healthcare and education (which I never intend to pay into), and insulted everyone who does belong here (or the law abiding citizens) I would say that $6000 is just a drop in the bucket, and therefore, no, is not fair.
For prenatal and birthing medical costs alone $6000 is nothing.

Did you even read the bill? It was amnesty, it was filled with more loop holes than Swiss cheese. I read what was available line by line. I even sent a list of questions regarding each individual line item to my so called representatives. There were no stop gaps, it was so vague that it could be gone around way too easy. It was amnesty. And I want you to tell me what in that piece of bilge showed that there would be policing of ANY of it? There were none. If you think that you can just take something for granted that it will happen without it being in writing you are more naive than there is any help for,.

Broken down, the immigration bill will cost legal, taxpaying Americans an average of $30,160 per immigrant family (headed by those without high school diplomas) to house, health, feed, educate, protect, and transport. There are at least 9.3 million adults that benefit from the bill. Bill sponsors and supporters refuse to label it “amnesty,” but those at the press conference argued that’s exactly what it is.
In addition to the immediate benefits received by those illegal immigrants who crossed the border any time prior to January 2007, they can also earn eligibility to welfare, social security and Medicare after 10 years. These programs risk funding losses already, so piling millions more onto the feeding tube only raises taxes and deprives legal citizens their due.
Yes it is AMNESTY compared to what it would have cost me. Thanks for playing!
Where are your numbers and facts? Pro's only argue emotion nothing more.

No amnesty, deportation only for those that have only been here for 3 or 4 years that would get rid of a lot.

If you are arrested for illegally crossing the border, then you are fingerprinted and put back on the other side of the border.
For a judge to give that sentence, a person would have to be arrested for other crimes.

Yes, that is amnesty. There is a legal process that should be followed. Any other process is amnesty. Oh, we are not calling imigration amnesty...we are saying that illegal aliens who are permited to live here (even if they pay the $6,000) is amnesty. Imigration is the normal legal process a person goes through to become legal and illegal aliens don't want to follow our immigration laws.

A $6000 fine is nothing compared to the thousands of dollars it costs U.S. taxpayers (citizens and LEGAL immigrants) to have these illegal intruders in our country. Not to mention adding on the thousands of dollars in taxes an illegal immigrant hasn't paid for God knows how long they were here.
And 7 years of supervision is nothing. You SHOULD be able to live for 7 years under supervision if you are as honest and hard-working as all these illegal immigrants claim to be.
Yeah, it still sounds like amnesty to me.
