LOL. I always think it's a joke when you people butcher the word "atheist." How hard can it be to spell it correctly when you type it 70,000 times a day?
In answer, nobody's trying to change your mind. There's no known form of explosive powerful enough to penetrate your skull. But this is not the "Christianity" section; it's the "Religion & Spirituality" section; and atheism is a religious position. If you don't like variety, there are plenty of nutty Christian websites you can go to and commiserate with other people who use the Bible as a surrogate brain.

And to actually answer your question, no one's trying to change minds. People come here to discuss things with people who believe differently in order to better understand where they're coming from. I'm a Christian and I'm glad for the atheists. Otherwise I would have either left or gone insane long ago.

And we have no interest in having religion in our schools, laws or personal lives. So therefore, we have a good reason to discuss it. Isn't freedom great? Too bad it applies to everyone, not just the people that you agree with, huh?
