Satan was created by God, and was sealed by perfection until unrighteousness was found in him. Satan was a cherub, the highest order of angels charged with guarding the holiness of God.
Unlike mortal man, who will die in the presence of God, Satan is a spirit creature. Clearly, as in Job, he can seek an audience with God the Father. Those of us who placed their faith in Christ will also - despite our original sins - be granted an audience with God when we get to heaven.

No where in the Bible does it say that Satan created sin. Adam and Eve rebelled against God and sin came into the world. The exalted purity of Jesus' life creates the norm for judging what is sinful. Jesus taught quite forcefully that sin is a condition of the heart. Anger in the heart is the same as murder (Matth.5:21-22) The real defilement in a person stems from the inner person (heart) which is sinful (Matt.15:18-20) Sin, therefore, is understood as involving the essential being of a person, that is, the essential essence of human nature.
Satan was created to serve. He has no heart. No where in the Bible does it say that angels have a heart or that angels can love or that angels can sin. Satan cannot force us to sin.
Satan can tempt us, but we choose to sin or not to sin. Satan is not made in the image of God. We are!

Where does it say that satan is the epitome of evil? Satan is the deceiver (Rev. 12:9). Through his influence as the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2)--the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4), Man chooses to transgress. It is therefore Man who is accountable to sin, not satan. When Jesus was on the cross, he took on the sins of Man, not satan. It was this sacrifice that separated Jesus from his Father.

Satan is the evil choice we make. God is the good choice we make. The balance of the universe rests on these two principals. We chose the reality we exist in. And if we choose to have good and evil then that is how satan can be in the present with god. Not believing in satan or god doesn't negate the fact that every individual is in one form or another god/satan. It all comes down to you and what you will to exist.
