I'm looking at the open questions that I have answered recently and I'm seeing the same pattern in a lot of the questions I've answered. I see 3 negative votes for questions I've answered. I'd like to know who's doing this and why are you doing it? I haven't done anything but answer questions to try and give people correct, or what I think is correct info.

Pepsilime, this has been going on for months in the tax area, where you're one who regularly gives good answers. Look at some of Bostonianimo's answers, ninasgramma's, mine and Rob's - same thing happens regularly - accurate, complete answers with thumbs down. Maybe since you're a little newer as one of the main responders, it's taken awhile for whoever is doing it to catch up to hitting your answers, too.

Don't let it bother you. It's a public forum - and every village has its idiot, this board is no exception.

It's scary how many totally wrong answers are given here. I just hope the people asking the questions aren't following some of the bad advice.

On the bright side - if you look at the top 10 answerers for taxes, you'll see names that give the good answers.

I dunno, I get the same thing. Looks as if we've pissed off a few of the Tax Kooks along the way so they just slag off our answers. I've probably torqued off a few with my straight-shooting answers. So be it! I'll just wear it as a badge of honor! ;)

Keep up the great work, by the way. You know your stuff!

Love ya, Judy! "Every village has its idiot..." couldn't have said it better myself! LOL Illegitimii non carborundum.

OK, full disclosure time too: We do know our stuff, but even the experts get it wrong from time to time. (I'm certaily no exception to that as anyone who's been here for any length of time well knows!) It's likely that some expert lurking in the wings is sniping on the fine points and that's OK with me! Blame the complexity of the law for that as well as the speed with which it changes.
