I recently started hearing this. What is it and how does it work? And is it worth it?

Threading is a hair removal method. A tread is wound tight & rolled against the skin. As it spins in the other direction, the thread catches & pulls out hairs.

It's a good alternative for women on medications like Retin-A who should avoid waxing.

I've had it done on my brows in conjunction w/ plucking & got excellent results.

If you are talking about hair removal, it is a technique using a cotton (usually, I think) thread rubbed around the area. The hair is entangled in the thread and then comes out when the thread is pulled up. I was actually thinking about this a few hours ago! I wish there were someone around here skilled in this. Waxing is my only choice besides tweezing.

I have had a few friends who had their eyebrows threaded. It's where a beauty therapist pulls the stray hairs of your eyebrows by wrapping a thin piece of string around the hair.

I've never bothered getting it done personally, I think what's the point if it's pulling them out at the root exactly the same as tweezing does? And I have a perfectly good pair of tweezers at home so I can do it myself for free.

Ohhhhhh I can't tell you how fantastic the results are!! Eyebrows threaded - perfect shape - totally amazing.

Very clever too - all done with literally a piece of thread! Worth every penny.

I have had my eyebrows threaded instead of waxing. It is a process where string is used (looks like kite string). They thread your eyebrows in the string and the hair is pulled out. It is no more painful than waxing. Mine was only $7 and lasted much longer than waxing...definitely a plus!!

It's where they tweeze your eye brows with threat instead of tweezers, or wax. It's okay, hurts very little. But, I found that wax gets a cleaner edge then threading.

It's a way to trim the eyebrows using string. It's kind of caught between twisted string and it's supposed to be painlessly fast.

you have to broaden this question my dear. there are several forms of threading and you need to be specific of which context you are most hearing it used. It can be used to discuss tires, sewing, swimming, HVAC work and repair, patching, etc.

you use it to get rid of facial hair (kind of like eyebrow waxing)they take a piece of string and roll it across your skin. it rips the hairs out. it dosent really hurt but it is uncomfterable. its worth it becasue it helps prevent acene.

its kinda like plucking. but you go to a specialist and they do it for you. they take a thread and hook it around each hair. its supposed to have really good results, better than plucking your own hairs. but you cant do it by yourself!!
