You don't say of what age group you are asking this question. But when I was in high school I never looked at the popular side of things when I was wanting a date. I always thought that (your question) was a myth started by a person who "wanted" to be popular. Later in life I, myself had even been on the popular side of things and was asked once, "Why would you see a nobody"? My reply? If they are breathing then they ARE somebody and why would you care"? Needless to say, that remark cost me a certain position, but I sure had fun on that date! So I would think that the moral to this story is: Popularity shouldn't be an issue, when interested in the person.

Very rarely. It doesn't really matter to me if a girl is popular and has loads of friends, as long as she's caring and she has a decent personality.
Truthfully though, 'popular' girls tend to have a caring and kind personality (from what I've seen), otherwise they probably wouldn't be so popular.

No, my last gf was in in the medium popularity group. Its not about how popular you are, its about who you are. Just forget about it, get yourself out there to the guys and enjoy life

Not really. I mean its good that she has friends, but if shes the center of everything then you may feel like you have to share them. Then it often means other guys are interested and you have more to deal with by fighting them off.

baby girl, actually the opposite. i stay away from popular crowd. they tend to concentrate too much of how others think about them.
