1] no redness in eye itself...
2] any crusty or pussy discharge from either eye? - that would mean conjunctivitis, and to go to clinic for antibiotics
3] if 'just' swelling,
a] take a Benadryl for swelling
b] use saline or 'lubricating' eye drops [ NOT 'get the red out' ]
to ease irritation
c] apply ice packs [ wrapped in thin cloth or paper towel ]
for 20 minutes, four times a day.
4] if it isn't better by sunday, call a doctor for an appointment.

Swelling is a common sign of allergic reaction. It might be nothing if it goes away in an hour. Watch for other signs that your body is reacting to something. Any other parts that have rash, itching, swelling. If so, food allergies are a possibility. Write down everything you ate in the last 39 hours. There is also a chance that you rubbed your eye in your sleep or it's a mosquito bite. No worry at all.

Ummmm.....which eye? Looks ok to me. It could be possible that you had a slight allergic reaction to some makeup. Your mom is right, put some ice or a cold washcloth on it and it should be fine.

ice it and if that doesn't work you may have an allergic reaction to something, or a sinus infection. whatever it is please have it checked out it could get worse. and if you wear contacts, wash your hands and change your solution, daily and everytime you take them out, keep your eyes moist while wearing them, try using " lubricating" eye drops when your not wearing your contacts. please try not to touch your eyes too much, and if you must do so make sure you hands are clean. wear sunglasses when your outside try not to be in the wind too much either. eyes are very important to a person so take care of yours. oh yeah and try not to put make up over it k hope this helps,,...........................
