The word "Christ" comes from the Greek translation of the Hebrew Messiah, which means "anointed."
It became the name proper to Jesus because he accomplished perfectly the divine mission of priest, prophet, and King, signified by his anointing as Messiah, "Christ."
With love in Christ.

first the church I go to was started on the day of Pentecost as stated in Acts 2, so we are before the Catholic church, nothing personal just history
Second, Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, the Christ is the body God placed his Glory when he was on earth.
1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh

23-25I know, God, that mere mortals
can't run their own lives,
That men and women
don't have what it takes to take charge of life.
So correct us, God, as you see best.
Don't lose your temper. That would be the end of us.
Vent your anger on the godless nations,
who refuse to acknowledge you,
And on the people
who won't pray to you—
The very ones who've made hash out of Jacob,
yes, made hash
And devoured him whole,
people and pastures alike.
