Heard this a million times. If a fat person doesn't know that mcdonalds is bad for you, its their fault, not the government. If a person doesn't read about what pills they put in their body. Thats their fault too.

The last thing I want is the government banning things I enjoy in moderation in the land of the "FREE" because stupid people can't control themselves.

The government is not "letting" the FDA kill you. The government is staying out of our personal lives and letting us choose our own paths. Quit forcing your beliefs on others.

Another fact for you to keep straight:

The FDA IS the government. If you expect the governent to step in to force Americans into a better diet, then be prepared to expect the government to step in and control the groceries you buy and the food you cook at home.

Anytime I want, I can wrap a half pound chunk of ground beef in a couple of slices of bacon, slap some cheese on it and slip this unholy mess between two slices of buttered bread, slathered in mayonaise. This recipe is much more unhealthy than a Big Mac.

Americans have money. Americans will eat what they choose. As an American, I will not sit still while the governent monitors my individual meal choices.

Put the blame where it belongs; on the consumer.

The government should not be able to tell anyone what they can put in their bodies food wise. People aren't stupid (well, some are) they know if you only eat McD's or BK that you are going to get fat, that the food is not good for you and that it causes health problems.

As for the health care issues in our country, not every dr. can be monitered. People need to take charge of their health instead of assuming that the dr. always knows whats best. People refuse to ask questions...that's the real issue.

I'm sure your conspiracy theory has worked well for you so far, but out here in Reality, we have to rely on things called Facts.

You are, however, correct that most medicine isn't necessary. There are very few drugs that don't cause as many side effects nearly as bad as the conditions they claim to cure. It seems the age of medicinal silver bullets (penicillin, aspirin, etc.) has passed.

People are overweight because they eat too much and don't exercise. You can get fat on 100% organic food. The only reason the people that eat that don't get fat is that most of them like a healthier lifestyle by eating less and exercising more.

Doctors don't get kickbacks.
